We are still at Grandma and Grandpa’s house and have been doing a lot of nothing. We are all recoving from colds. Noah seems to be feeling better though and has been in a good mood most of today! We are having a nice time though aside from the colds. Grandma and Grandpa have been having fun playing with Noah. Aunt Dawn left today for her trip to India! We will keep you updated as we hear about her trip, she will be there for 2 weeks. Gary and I have been enjoying playing with all our Christmas gifts! I had a chance to get out today ALONE and shop at Target with my birthday gift card….SO FUN!! Of course I ended up spending it all on Noah….it’s hard to pass up those cute little boy outfits! I do have to admit that I don’t quite know what to do with myself when I don’t have the baby or hubby along! Here are some pics from today….some firsts!

Yesterday was my birthday and Noah and I received a special gift….COLDS! YUCK! We are both sick with colds..along with Grandpa, Grandma, and Cousin Alan. We had a rough night of sleeping and are both stuffy. Of course Noah seems to be handling his cold very well but mommy is really feeling achy and just totally congested. Not fun. We did have a very nice little birthday celebration for me with yummy cake and some great gifts (thanks everyone!). Today we are just lounging around the house napping, playing with our Christmas gifts, and playing with the doggies. Aunt Dawn and Uncle John left this morning to head back home since Aunt Dawn leaves for her trip to India tomorrow! We pray for a safe journey for her.
What a wonderful and busy day we had on Christmas! The festivities started Christmas Eve and Noah’s first Christmas Eve church service. We went to the earlier service (we usually do the 11:00 PM service) and he really seemed to enjoy the music. He bounced on daddy and mommies lap most of the time and played with some paper during the non music periods. He has been a bit fussy since arriving here at Grandma and Grandpa’s but I think it is in large part to his second tooth coming through! We headed to bed early so that Noah would be ready to go for his big day on Christmas! 
We arrived at Grandma and Grandpa’s yesterday after a 2 hour car ride. I’m sure we looked like a traveling circus with 2 big labs in the back, the baby seat in the middle, mommy in the back with Noah, the front seat full with a stroller and various other stuff, and a carrier on the top full of Christmas gifts! We made it here safe and sound and Noah and the doggies slept almost the whole way! Noah is having fun with his grandparents….they of course fight over him all the time! Ebony still has the cone on her head for a few more days and I have to admit we all get a chuckle out of her running into things! Here are some pics!
Last night we had Noah’s girlfriend Addy over, with her mommy and daddy, for dinner and to exchange Christmas gifts. We were so excited to see them since it had been awhile since we last got together. Addy was dressed in the most adorable pink footed jammies. We had a nice dinner of pizza, salad and bread and then headed to the floor to let the kids open their Christmas gifts from eachother. Okay so the kids didn’t do much opening, they preferred to eat the tissue paper…but with a little help from the mommies we ended up getting everything opened. Addy was kind enough to get Noah a hammer that makes noise, a hat and mittens, some books, and his very first sippy cup! Thanks Addy!! As a surprise to everyone I made a cake to celebrate Addy’s 6 month birthday! It was fun to make a girly cake…I will be making a boyish cake in a few days to celebrate Noah’s 6 month birthday! What a fun night. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends! 
Well here we go again, another dog boo boo. This time it’s Ebony. Gary and I returned home from some errands Saturday to find a sore on Ebony’s side (at that point I couldn’t see the extent of it). I thought I could take care of it with some TLC and ointment….but yesterday it really started to look like a bit more than what I could take care of at home. So off I went yesterday evening to the vet with Ebony and Noah (Daisy was not thrilled about being left home!). After the vet shaved the area Gary and I were shocked at how large the puncture wound was! We still have no idea how it happened….maybe the dogs were playing outside and she ran into something…who knows. The vet decided to leave the wound open to the air and gave us some antibiotics. I have the icky job of smearing antibiotic inside he wound for the next seven days. Yucko! Good practice for all the little boy injuries I’m sure we will face in the future! So, here are some pics of Ebony and her new accessory (she has to wear this until it heals a bit…her licking could cause more infection). She really is taking the whole thing in stride quite well.
